The NCAA Men’s College World Series will
continue in Omaha through 2035 under the terms of an unprecedented
contract agreement signed today, according to Jack Diesing Jr.,
president of College World Series of Omaha Inc. The new 25-year
agreement will go into effect in 2011 when the Series moves from
Rosenblatt Stadium to the new 24,000-seat ballpark in downtown Omaha.

(OMAHA, Neb. – April 18, 2008) – The College World Series (CWS) of
Omaha Inc. Board of Directors has unanimously adopted a resolution
calling for a new downtown stadium to be constructed on the site of
Qwest Center parking lots C and E, according to Jack Diesing Jr.,
president and treasurer. The resolution passed during the April 17
meeting of the Board, which hosted representatives of eight Omaha
service clubs that sponsor the college baseball teams that advance each
year to the Series. |

Flyover Highlights Ballpark Amenities
(OMAHA, Neb. – April 4, 2008) – A virtual flyover of Omaha’s proposed downtown stadium provides the public with a multiple-perspective view of the new ballpark and its fan-friendly design, according to Bruce Carpenter, AIA, project principal architect with HDR. The animation, which can be viewed at www.omahastadium.com, is based on a preliminary stadium design created by Omaha-based HDR and HOK Sport Venue Event in Kansas City. |
