The CWS Stadium Oversight Committee, along with its partners, HDR, HOK, Barrett Sports Group, Heritage Services, and a host of other experts arrived at the following conclusions:
- Because of private donor interest and increased stadium revenue, a downtown stadium will cost the public roughly the same as a Rosenblatt renovation.
- A Rosenblatt renovation would displace 68 parcels of land, including private homeowners on 13th Street.
- A downtown stadium would dramatically improve the fan experience, providing additional amenities and access to Omaha’s thriving entertainment district.
- A downtown stadium has a longer design life and allows for future expansion.
- A downtown stadium has superior traffic infrastructure and available parking.
- A downtown stadium will be a catalyst for further economic development.
- A downtown stadium allows Henry Doorly Zoo room for future expansion.
